TREAT YO SELF

4/22/17
The pop-up exhibition, TREATYOSELF, served as a reminder for women to take care of themselves, love themselves, and support one another in the process. The event itself was meant to create an open space that supports intersectional feminism by showcasing art works by a diverse group of women artists based in NYC and presenting performances that support this theme. TREATYOSELF was meant to connect female-identified creatives and represent the voices of NYC based minority women by emphasizing the positive messages of self-care, self-love, and women supporting women in our community. The show featured 30 artists and performers, attracted over 120 visitors, and took place at the Bronx Art Space.

Featured visual artists: Carla Lopez, Amber McDonald, Fallon Smalberg, Stacey Zerilli, Kimberly Celeste Cruz, Lisbeth Checo, FVDGE, Alizé Santana, Anna Elias, Jarlyne Batista, Kyara Gaymon, Jaleeca Yancy, Zulema Tiburcio, Nicole Bello, Rocio Marie Cabrera, Sari Weisenberg, Catalina Gonella, Kitty Leigh, Jennifer Melgar, Samatha Scoggins, Brittany Najar, Maria Estevez
